> How does the JIT3 system label the disks?

Q: How do I maintain the duplication disk drives?
A:
> Clean the drives regularly using a wet/dry disk cleaning kit. This will help to keep the drive heads (arguably THE most important yet vulnerable component in any duplicator) in tip-top condition.
> Try to keep the system as dust-free as possible, blowing air (from the compressor or using an air duster) around the drive to prevent a build-up, which can cause premature head wear.
> Use high quality duplication grade diskettes. Low grade diskettes are cheap for good reason! They are often badly made with weld problems, and 'sloppy', ill-fitting shutters. A single bad disk can destroy a head.
> When storing a drive for later use, place a piece of paper between the heads, preventing them from coming into contact with each other. They can become 'stuck' together, causing damage when they are separated.

Q: How does the JIT3 system label the disks?
A: After duplicating the disk it is automatically pushed into the in-line inkjet printer which prints directly onto the disk label. The disk is then placed into the output hopper. The system does not have the ability to apply labels to the disk - blank labels must be pre-applied before being placed into the input hopper.
