Martinvest win 3 year contract with the FSA
Following a procurement review, financial regulator,
the Financial Services Authority (FSA), have awarded
a 3 year contract for data manipulation, media duplication
and distribution to 4B Martinvest Ltd.
The contract involves supplying FSA clients with
data collected from numerous databases being converted
across a range of server platforms into various
media formats, including CD-ROM, 3½"
diskette, 3480 cartridge, ½" tape and
4mm DAT.
As well as our technical knowledge covering programming,
server platforms and media formats, a key aspect
to our success was our ability to provide the
FSA with the fast turnaround they require to make
their data service viable – since everything
is done in-house. The data is received by 5pm
each Friday afternoon with the end client receiving
the data in their chosen format ready for installation
the following Tuesday.
Peter Bridson, MD of 4B Martinvest commented:
"We are delighted the FSA have chosen 4B to
handle this important and time-critical service.
I feel that our technical knowledge and experience
with this kind of work were strong factors in our
favour. We look forward to growing our relationship
with the FSA in the coming years."
The Financial Services Authority is the main statutory
regulator for the UK financial services industry,
responsible for the regulation of almost 29,000
firms and 165,000 individuals.
