Retro/Vinyl CDs

A Retro CD is a standard 12cm disc manufactured using coloured polycarbonate to resemble the old vinyl 7" single. It plays the same as a standard CD (audio, data or video), but the top surface has printed 'grooves' rather than a full edge-to-edge label. The grooves are purely cosmetic, giving a unique appearance.

The label area on a retro disc is a small circular region around the centre hole, in keeping with the look of the 7" vinyl single. The label can be printed CMYK, but due to the limited space, simple designs are more effective.

Why use Vinyl CDs?

> Take people back in time...
...to before CDs were invented. The over 40's just love them!

Black isn't the only colour! When pressing discs they are available with blue, rose, yellow, green, purple, gold or red polycarbonate bases.
